1. Reserve an air waybill number from our Customer Service Counter at Tel (852)2767-9888. 2. Make a booking through our Cargo Reservation Office via Pet Booking e-form after obtaining an air waybill number. If you are a Hong Kong-based customer, you can contact us via Livechat during office hours. 3. Get a suitable container in accordance with the IATA Live Animals Regulations. All the doors of the cage will be sealed or fastened with ropes by our Counter staff to ensure that none of the doors will open by accident. 4. Approach our Customer Services Counter: 4/F, Core SE, Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal, 3 Chun Wan Road, Hong Kong International Airport and handover all relevant documents, such as the certificate of Health and Import Permit for verification and processing. 5. Please note that the chargeable weight of the shipment is based on the actual gross weight or the volume weight whichever is higher. In shipping of pets, the volume weight is established by measuring the greatest length, the greatest width and the greatest height of the animal container. 6. Deliver the container together with the pets to our terminal operator (Cathay Pacific Services Limited) situated in the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal no more than 4 hours before scheduled departure of the booked flight. Notes: a. To U.K. - Dogs and Cats imported into the U.K must be consigned as cargo. They are subject to Rabies Control procedures and quarantine for 6 months at a Department-approved establishment immediately on arrival in the U.K. - It is necessary to apply for an import licence from: Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Hook Rise, Tolworth, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 7YN. - A Boarding Document and a red Rabies Control label will be issued if the application is successful. You must affix the red Rabies Control label to the container securely. b. To the U.S. and Canada - Cat / Dog kennels made of wood may not be used; plastic kennels are recommended.
